Gemsets

Complete sets of gems for students and collectors

About Us

GEMSETS was established to cater for the students and collectors market in precious and semi-precious gems.  As students, we found it difficult to access a good range of specimens to study that displayed the typical inclusions students would need to study in order to successfully identify the gems.  We aim to give you access to a large variety of gems in complete sets with natural gems, synthetic gems and imitation gems at affordable prices.

Both Simon and Anne are qualified gemmologists based in Australia.  We love travelling the world to secure affordable sets of gems which have the typical inclusions and identifying features required to successfully determine the type of gem.  We try where possible to give you sets of gems that show strong identification tests from colour spectrums, pleochroism and UV effects.

We love our customers and welcome your feedback and suggestions. Use our Contact Us page to tell us what other sets of gems you would like to see or any specific requests you may have that we can access for you.  We have contacts in overseas markets that we can source gems through in between our country visits.

Meet Our Team

Simon Perren

Simon Perren FGA – Qualified Gemmologist in 2016 through The Gemmological Association of Great Britain.

I have a real passion for all semi-precious gems and love seeing inclusions in all gems.  It is really enjoyable to see unusual inclusions and growth patterns in crystals.  Learning never stops and I hope to bring that passion to new students and collectors through these individual collected gem sets that appear on our website.

Send me an email if you have any questions on anything gem related and I will help out where I can.
